Nigerian Spring Roll is a crispy tasty delight that should not be missing on your party table. Here's how to prepare Nigerian spring rolls (pics and video included)
Heat up 3 tablespoons vegetable oil until hot
Add 3 cloves chopped garlic and 1 medium chopped onions, stir fry until fragrant
Add 800gr minced meat(pork, beef or chicken) and stir until pale
Add 1 teaspoon dried thyme,1 teaspoon ginger powder,1 teaspoon black pepper and1 teaspoon beef seasoning powder
Stir to combine and let the meat absorb
the herbs and spices
Add 400 grams sliced cabbage, 3 carrots sliced, 1/2 cup red and green bell peppers and mix well to combine
Add 1 tablespoonful mixture of
soy sauce and teriyaki sauce
and salt to taste
Cook until softened or for 5 minutes if you prefer crunchy veggies
Transfer into a bowl to cool completely; you can spread out on a tray to cool completely
Prepare the binder for the Spring roll wrappers: 2 tablespoons plain flour/corn flour
+ 3 tablespoons water and mix to combine
Place the spring roll filling unto the spring roll wrapper and wrap as shown in the video and finally use the binder to seal
Repeat the process for the remaining spring rolls and wrappers
Heat up enough oil in a pan test hotness by dipping a skewer into it, if it bubbles quickly then the oil is hot enough
Fry the spring rolls on both sides until crisp and golden
Transfer unto a paper towel to absorb excess oil
